BONESTOCK RETURNS THIS WEEKEND IN POPLAR BLUFF
A beloved music festival returns this weekend in Poplar Bluff.
The gates will open for Bonestock at 11 am this Saturday at Ray Clinton Park.
Six bands will be performing throughout the day, including Powder Mill, Roses Undead, and Fallen Within. This is the first Bonestock to be held since Bonestock 10 in 2014.
Tickets are available for $20 at River Radio in Poplar Bluff and on Eventbrite. Tickets will be available for $25 at the gate on Saturday.
Part of the proceeds from Bonestock will go to Roberts Adventure Playground, an all inclusive playground being built at McLane Park.

ONE DEAD FOLLOWING CRASH IN POPLAR BLUFF
A crash Wednesday morning in Poplar Bluff resulted in the death of an area woman.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40 year old Crystal Rulo, of Poplar Bluff was riding a motorized bicycle that ran into the side of a vehicle at the intersection of Business Highway 67 and Route 53.
Rulo, who was not wearing a safety device, was transported to a Poplar Bluff hospital where she was pronounced dead.
SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO ARREST OF THREE IN CLAY COUNTY
Three people have been taken into custody in Northeast Arkansas in connection to a search warrant.
According to Clay County Sheriff Ronnie Cole, on Monday officials conducted a search at an apartment west of Corning while attempting to locate 37 year old Travis Burkheart, of Biggers, who had several warrants for his arrest.
At the apartment, deputies noticed drug paraphernalia and observed a male subject discard a back box out the back door. Deputies were advised by residents of the apartment that Burkheart had just left and went into the woods in front of the apartment.
Two deputies went into the woods and found Burkheart, who had a knife in one hand and brass knuckles on the other. Burkheart was told by the deputies to put the weapons down, but refused. A deputy then deployed his Taser and Burkheart was taken into custody.
Deputies then obtained another search warrant for the apartment which resulted in 34 year old Bruce Caldwell and 34 year old Sarah Caldwell being taken into custody as well.
BUTLER COUNTY FAIR BEGINS TODAY IN POPLAR BLUFF
The Butler County Fair is kicking off today in Poplar Bluff.
The three day fair is set for today through Saturday at the Black River Coliseum.
Multiple events are scheduled for the fair this year, including the Beauty Pageant.
The Black River Coliseum will be hosting the fair exhibits and silent auction over all three days.

WORK UNDERWAY ON NEW POPLAR BLUFF TRAIL THAT WILL RUN PARALLEL TO PP HIGHWAY
Work is underway on a new trail in Poplar Bluff that will bridge Poplar Bluff’s trail system with the Wolf Creek Trail.
According to the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, the Wolf Creek Connector Trail project will run parallel to PP Highway.
Starting from the Dollar General near the roundabout, the trail will extend along the north side of PP Highway all the way to County Road 447.
US 60/62 BRIDGE OVER MISSISSIPPI RIVER REOPENS TO TRAFFIC
An extensively used bridge connecting Missouri to Southern Illinois and Kentucky reopened to traffic Wednesday.
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that the bridge carrying U.S. 60/62 over the Mississippi River in Alexander County, Illinois and Mississippi County, Missouri, will be available for motorists beginning at noon yesterday.
Originally anticipated to be completed on October 1st, officials say the work was finished a week ahead of schedule thanks to favorable weather and repairs going as planned.
The $5.86 million project, which consists of structural steel repairs, began in October 2023.
