REWARD OFFERED FOR WANTED MAN IN BUTLER COUNTY
A reward is being offered for information that can help in the investigation of a wanted suspect in a shooting incident out of Butler County.
According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, a $1,000 reward is being offered for information that aids the investigation into finding Deasean Bell, who is wanted for allegedly shooting 47 year old Keith Whitehead in the back, hospitalizing him.
He is believed to be getting aid from family members, and officials have received two phone calls from Bell’s family, threatening them.

INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE COLLISION IN STODDARD COUNTY
Injuries were reported following a vehicle collision in Stoddard County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on ST Highway 25 at Aquilla, where a vehicle struck a stationary car.
The driver of the stationary vehicle received minor injuries from the collision, and was transported to a hospital in Dexter.
DINNER FUNDRAISER EVENT SCHEDULED TO BE HELD IN POPLAR BLUFF
There will be a dinner fundraiser event held in Poplar Bluff in March.
The chicken dinner is $7 per plate, and will include entertainment and door prizes along with the food. All proceeds made during the event will go towards funding a Kids Fish ‘N Fun event.
The dinner will be held on March 21st at 5 pm, at the American Legion on PP Highway.
MAN ARRESTED IN NEW MADRID COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGE
A man was taken into custody in New Madrid County on Thursday on a possession of methamphetamine charge.
According to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, 23 year old Joseph Freeze, of Indianapolis, was arrested on a felony charge on possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
He was transported to the Sikeston Department of Public Safety following his arrest.
ROAD CLOSED IN NEW MADRID COUNTY DUE TO FLOODING
A road is closed in New Madrid County due to flooding.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, eastbound and westbound lanes on Route 162 near the Mississippi river are closed because of rising waters.

SPRING FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR PUXICO IN APRIL
The Puxico Police Department will be hosting a spring festival in early April.
According to the department, the event will feature an Easter egg hunt for children, as well as BINGO activities for the adults. There will also be craft and food vendors, and more.
The festival will be held at Puxico South Park on April 4th, from 10 am to 4 pm.
