MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN TWO LOCATIONS SHOT IN POPLAR BLUFF
Multiple shooting victims were reported at Poplar Bluff on Sunday.
According to the Poplar Bluff Police department, a 23 year old male was shot at Bacon Park, and was transported by air to a hospital in St. Louis for extensive injuries.
Within the hour of the first shooting, a 56 and 48 year old, both males, and a 26 year old female, were also shot on Wallace Street.
The Poplar Bluff and Butler County Major Case Squad is currently investigating the shootings, and anyone with information that may help is asked to contact the department by calling 573-686-8632.
AREA MAN ARRESTED IN BUTLER COUNTY ON DRUG POSSESSION CHARGES
An area man was taken into custody in Butler County on Saturday on drug related charges.
According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, 42 year old Jason Summers, of Poplar Bluff, was arrested on felony possession of a controlled substance – Xanax and Hydrocodone, as well as unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Butler County Jail following his arrest.
ROAD SCHEDULED TO CLOSE IN BUTLER COUNTY FOR REPAIRS
A road is scheduled to close in Butler County on Tuesday.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, a section of roadway from County Road 206 to Route N will be closed from 9 am to 3 pm while crews perform drainage repairs.

POLICE IN NEW MADRID COUNTY INVESTIGATING SHOOTING DEATH
Police in New Madrid are currently investigating a shooting incident where a fatality was reported.
According to the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, authorities received a call about a victim of a shooting at a truck stop in Marston, where Datrae Hicks had been shot. He was transported to a hospital before dying from his injuries.
An autopsy has been scheduled for his body on Tuesday, and a suspect has been arrested on pending charges while the investigation proceeds.
MAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY FOR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE
A man was taken into custody on Friday in Stoddard County for possession of methamphetamine.
According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 35 year old Phillip Tanner, of Greenville, was arrested on felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Stoddard County Jail following his arrest.
INJURIES REPORTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE CRASH IN STODDARD COUNTY
A Dexter driver received injuries after his vehicle crashed in Stoddard County on Friday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News that the crash occurred on Route 3, near County Road 271, where a vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, striking an embankment and causing the vehicle to overturn.
The driver of the vehicle received moderate injuries as a result of the crash, and was transported to a hospital in Dexter.
