MISSING MAN OUT OF DONIPHAN FOUND DEAD IN RIPLEY COUNTY

 

The remains of a missing man out of Doniphan were found in Ripley County.

According to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, the body of 37 year old Brandon Harris was found on Sunday, and identified on Tuesday.

Authorities from multiple agencies, including the Doniphan City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, are currently investigating leads involved in his initial disappearance on January 24th.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and anyone with information that can assist in the case is asked to call the Ripley County Sheriff’s department at 573-996-5555.

WOMAN ARRESTED IN STODDARD COUNTY ON DRUG RELATED CHARGES

 

Authorities in Stoddard County arrested a woman on drug related charges on Wednesday.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, 35 year old Kristina Hicks, of Piedmont, was booked on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

After her arrest, she was transported to the Stoddard County Jail on no bond.

CLASSES FOR BECOMING A COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATE STARTING IN FEBRUARY

 

There are upcoming classes starting for becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate.

According to the Butler County Community Resource Council, there will be classes forming starting today to become a CASA member.

MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES IN STODDARD COUNTY

 

A former priest was taken into custody on Wednesday in Springfield on multiple Stoddard County charges.

According to the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Office, 76 year old Frederick Lutz was arrested on a Stoddard County warrant on statutory sodomy, 2nd degree, child molestation 3rd degree, and a sexual abuse charge.

He served as a priest in St. Joseph Parish in Advance, and an investigation into alleged abuse and sex crimes from him was found in church documents from his supposed victims in January.

Lutz was booked at the Stoddard County Jail following his initial arrest on a $125,000 cash only bond.

AREA MAN ARRESTED IN BUTLER COUNTY ON POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE

 

Officials in Butler County arrested an area man on Wednesday on possession of methamphetamine.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 42 year old Charles Wallace, of Poplar Bluff, was taken into custody on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Butler County Jail following his arrest.

PROPOSALS REQUESTED FOR PROPOSITIONS IN MULTIPLE COUNTIES

 

The Ozark Foothills Regional Solid Waste Management District is accepting proposals for management projects.

According to the Ozark Foothills Planning Commission, the district is currently soliciting proposals for solid waste management projects, to be conducted in Butler, Carter, Wayne, Ripley, and Reynolds Counties.

Applicants available include local units of government, non-profits, and private enterprises, and must apply by March 10th.
