AUTHORITIES NOW OFFERING A $5,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON THREE ESCAPED SUSPECTS FROM IRON COUNTY
Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information on three escaped inmates. Police in Iron County are currently searching for the three inmates who escaped from the Iron County Jail sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
The first subject is 57 year old Tracy Brown, who is described as a 5’9 white male with green eyes and salt/pepper hair. He was last known to be wearing a black and white jumpsuit.
The second is 36 year old Dwight Abernathie, who is a 6’1 white male with blue eyes and red hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey sweatpants.
The last subject is 35 year old Samuel Gilliam, who has been described as a 5’6 white male with blue eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and striped pants when he was last seen.
Pictures of the three are available on the KWOC and Ironton Police Department Facebook pages. They are all considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of the subjects, you are asked to contact your local law enforcement agency, or the Iron County Sheriff’s Office at 573-546-4000. The United States Marshals Service is also assisting in the fugitive search.
MAN ARRESTED IN DUNKLIN COUNTY ON DRUG AND FIREARM RELATED CHARGES
A man was taken into custody in Dunklin County on drug and firearm related charges on Saturday.
According to the Dunklin County Sheriff’s Department, 25 year old Benjamin Fuente, of Kennett, was arrested on unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of K-25.
Fuente was also charged with the felony offenses of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
He was transported to the Dunklin County Jail following his arrest.
DRIVER EXAMINATION STATIONS IN MISSOURI CLOSED FOR MLK DAY
Driver examination stations in Missouri will be closed today.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, all driver exam stations in the state will be closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Stations in the state will return to normal operating procedures on Tuesday.
VAN BUREN POLICE DEPARTMENT ASKING FOR INFORMATION ON SUSPICIOUS PERSON
The Van Buren Police Department is searching for information on a suspicious person that has been seen multiple times in the city.
According to the department, there have been several reports of a male subject dressed in black clothing, who has been seen walking around a neighborhood in the city late at night.
Police have received several calls on the subject, including reports on the man chasing individuals, and surveying homes.

WANTED FELON OUT OF NEW MADRID COUNTY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
A previously wanted felon out of New Madrid County was located and taken into custody on Saturday.
Officials with the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department tell KWOC News that Michael Gray was located early morning Saturday, after he was found hiding in a truck stop parking lot.
He was previously wanted on a felony warrant out of New Madrid County, on unlawful possession of a firearm, and receiving stolen property.
Gray also held a Dunklin County warrant for unlawful possession of a firearm, and stealing.
Authorities with the New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, Charleston Police, and officials in Maricopa County aided in the arrest.
DAY OF SERVICE PROJECT BEING HELD IN POPLAR BLUFF TODAY
A drive for food and clothing will be held in Poplar Bluff today in observance of MLK day.
The project will be a part of a National Day of Service, and participants will be able to donate money, clothing, books, and nonperishable food items. All donations will be given to the Foster Adopt Connect program in Poplar Bluff.
The event will be held at the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce at 1111 West Pine Street, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
