NEELYVILLE MAN DROWNS AFTER BOAT CAPSIZES IN RIPLEY COUNTY
A 61 year old man drowned Friday afternoon, after his boat capsized on a private lake in Ripley County.
Officials with the Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KWOC News, that authorities received an emergency call, at around noon of a possible drowning in the area of Glen Holland Lake, 9 miles west of Doniphan.
Authorities say Teddy McComb of Neelyville, along with his passenger were thrown into the water after his boat capsized. He began to struggle and did not resurface after he submerged. McComb was located about 2 pm and was pronounced dead at the scene by Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson.
The incident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Water Division and the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department.
MARBLE HILL MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FIREARM CHARGE
A Marble Hill man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to a firearm charge.
According to Sayler Fleming with the United States Attorney’s Office, Eric Castulik has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The charges stem from an incident in 2020.
Fleming says that Castulik was sentenced to 96 months in prison.
BUTLER COUNTY ROAD TO BE CLOSED TODAY
Route AA in Butler County will be closed beginning today so Missouri Department of Transportation crews can perform pavement repairs.
The section of roadway to be closed is located from Route 51 to Route B.
Weather permitting, work will take place today and tomorrow from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm each day. During the project, the route will be open to local traffic only.
MARQUAND MAN KILLED IN SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK
A Marquand man was killed in a single vehicle wreck over the weekend in Bollinger County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 65 year old Delbert Mills was driving on Missouri Highway 72, two miles west of Patton, Friday morning when his vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.
Mills was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
BIKE TOUR TO BEGIN TODAY IN POPLAR BLUFF
A bike tour is set to begin this morning in Poplar Bluff.
The 2021 Bicycle across Missouri will begin today at Ray Clinton Park in Poplar Bluff. The five day tour will take riders from Poplar Bluff to Sikeston on day 1, and then to Cape Girardeau, Perryville, Farmington, and Sainte Genevieve over the following days.

PAVEMENT REPAIRS SET FOR TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY
Route FF in Stoddard County will be closed today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.
According to officials, the section of roadway to be closed is located from Route 60 to Route E.
Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 am to 4 pm.
