TEXAS MAN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES IN DUNKLIN COUNTY 

A Houston, Texas man was taken into custody over the weekend on multiple felony charges. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 39 year old Joshua Randle, was arrested shortly after 6 pm Friday evening on felony charges of possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. 

Following his arrest, Randle was transported to the Dunklin County Jail.


WAYNE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT COMPILING LIST OF LIVESTOCK IN THE COUNTY 

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is wanting to hear from livestock owners in the county. 

According to officials, the Sheriff’s Department is currently in the process of updating their list of livestock owners. 

The list helps them determine quickly the ownership of livestock that may be out on the roadways.

PAVEMENT REPAIRS SET FOR TODAY IN STODDARD COUNTY

Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be in Stoddard County today for pavement repairs on Route N. 

During the repairs, Route N will be closed from Route 60 to Route AB. 

According to MoDOT officials, work is scheduled to be done from 7 am to 4:30 pm.


KANSAS MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK 

A Kansas man was seriously injured in a single vehicle wreck over the weekend. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 29 year old Dallas Gillam was driving on Highway E in Stoddard County Saturday evening when his vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a ditch. 

Gillam received serious injuries in the wreck and was transported to a Cape Girardeau hospital.


POPLAR BLUFF SCHOOLS TO OFFER PICK UP MEALS FOR COMMUNITY CHILDREN 

The Poplar Bluff School District will be helping to feed area children this summer. 

According to officials, Poplar Bluff Schools, in partnership with Chartwells K12, will be offering free pick-up meals for breakfast and lunch for all community children at multiple area locations.

The pick up sites will include the Bread Shed, Midland Church, the R.W. Huntington Municipal Swimming Pool, and the Wheatley School among others.

DUNKLIN COUNTY ROAD PROJECT UNDERWAY 

Route CC in Dunklin County will be closed for most of this week as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs. 

According to officials Route CC will be closed from U.S. Route 412 to Route T for the repairs. 

Weather permitting, work will take place from 6:30 am to 5 pm daily through Thursday, June 17th.
