TODAY IS CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY AT THE OFC TOURNAMENT
The Championship games are set for the 2022 Ozark Foothills Conference Tournament.
East Carter will take on Greenville in the boys varsity final tonight after both teams picked up victories Thursday night. East Carter defeated Twin Rivers 78 to 47 and Greenville picked up the win over Doniphan 63-61.
In the Junior Varsity semi-final played Thursday night, Twin Rivers beat Doniphan 34-27
Three championship games will be played tonight at the Libla Family Sports Complex on the campus of Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff.
The Junior Varsity final will see East Carter take on Twin Rivers at 5 pm. That will be followed by the Girls Championship game between Doniphan and East Carter at 6:30 pm. The Boys Varsity final will be a matchup of East Carter and Greenville at 8 pm.

SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MAN WANTED ON SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGE OUT OF IRON COUNTY
Officials in Iron County are searching for a man who is wanted on multiple charges, including sexual abuse.
The U.S. Marshals Service tells KWOC News that a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the capture of 52 year old Ira Brown, of Viburnum.
Brown is wanted by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service on sexual abuse, domestic assault, kidnapping, and weapons charges.
Brown had been charged with possession of machine guns, but was released on bond during the pendency of his case. Authorities believe he fled from supervision after removing his ankle monitor in August of last year.
Brown is a white male, stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs approximately 178 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Officials say that Brown should be considered armed and dangerous.

DATE SET FOR 2022 BLACK POWDER RENDEZVOUS
A date has been announced for an annual Southeast Missouri tradition.
According to the US Army Corps of Engineers, the 2022 Old Greenville Black Powder Rendezvous will be held at the Greenville Campground at Wappapello Lake on April 23rd and 24th.
The event is free for the public to attend and there will also be multiple musical performances on April 23rd.

OFFICIALS TO CONDUCT INSPECTION OF WAPPAPELLO DAM
The US Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake will be inspecting the Wappapello dam beginning later this month.
Corps of Engineers officials say that the inspection of the dam, dikes, gatehouse, spillway, and other related structures will begin February 22nd and last for several days.
The purpose of the routine inspection is to inspect all features of the project related to the safety, stability, and operational adequacy of the main dam and appurtenant structures.
During the inspection, the lake level will be lowered approximately one and a half feet below the conservation pool.
TRIVIA NIGHT SCHEDULED TO BENEFIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TRC STUDENTS
A Trivia Night will be held in Poplar Bluff to help fund scholarships for Three Rivers College students.
The Three Rivers Endowment Trust will hold its Poplar Bluff Trivia Night fundraiser on February 24th, at the Holiday Inn.
Doors will open for dinner at 5 pm, with trivia starting at 6 pm.
Tables will be $120 for a six-person team and include dinner.

WAPPAPELLO CIVIC CENTER TO HOST VALENTINE’S DANCE
The Wappapello Civic Center will be hosting a Valentine’s Dance this weekend.
Everyone is welcome for the event, which will be from 6 to 9 pm on Saturday.
Admission is seven dollars per person and attendees are also asked to bring a finger food, appetizer, or dessert to share with everybody.
