THREE RIVERS COLLEGE TO HOST EVERYONE’S A RAIDER NIGHT 

Area residents will have the opportunity tonight to watch the Lady Raiders and Raiders play against Mineral Area College free of charge. 

The college is hosting “Everyone’s a Raider Night” beginning with the Lady Raiders at 5 pm and the Raiders at 7 pm, at the Libla Family Sports Complex. Admission is free to all local students and two parents per student will also receive free admission. 

All students will receive a voucher for a free piece of pizza and water.



SOUTHEAST MISSOURI MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG RELATED CHARGES 

A Southeast Missouri man was taken into custody earlier this week on multiple drug related charges. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 30 year old Henry Powell, of Sikeston, was taken into custody on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance for methamphetamine as well as felony resisting arrest. 

Powell is also facing charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 



BUTLER COUNTY ROAD REPAIRS SET FOR TODAY 

Highway 53 in Butler County will be reduced to one lane today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs. 

The section of Highway 53 to be reduced is located from County Road 218 to Strawberry Lane. 

Work is scheduled to take place from 9 am to 3 pm.



INCOMING STORM SYSTEM BRINGS WITH IT CHANCE OF HEAVY RAINFALL 

An incoming storm system is bringing with it the chance of heavy rainfall. 

According to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are possible with increasing rain chances starting Thursday. 

Heavy rainfall will be the primary storm related hazard through the period. Weather officials say up to 2 inches of rain is likely with this storm system, along with isolated flooding being a concern. 

The chances of heavy rain are expected to decrease by Thursday night. 



TRIVIA NIGHT SCHEDULED TO BENEFIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TRC STUDENTS 

A Trivia Night will be held in Poplar Bluff to help fund scholarships for Three Rivers College students. 

The Three Rivers Endowment Trust will hold its Poplar Bluff Trivia Night fundraiser on February 24th, at the Holiday Inn. 

Doors will open for dinner at 5 pm, with trivia starting at 6 pm. 

Tables will be $120 for a six-person team and include dinner.

TWO STODDARD COUNTY ROADS TO BE REDUCED TODAY FOR EDGE RUT REPAIRS 

Two roads in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane today as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform edge rut repairs. 

Missouri Route 153 in Stoddard County will be reduced between Route D and Missouri 114 from 8 am to 3 pm.   

Route TT in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane from US 60 to County Road 642 between 8:30 am and 3 pm. 

Both work zones will be marked with signs and motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
